Your visit to Amsterdam in 2021 - useful websites to keep an eye on

This time a blog about useful information regarding traveling to Amsterdam during the Covid-19 situation. Because what are useful websites to visit prior to your trip to Amsterdam? What can you do or not do in Amsterdam in 2021?
In view of the approaching spring and summer, I thought it would be useful to go through the restrictions with you and share useful websites and links where you can find the latest news about the current Covid related measures.

The most important thing before traveling, or planning your trip to Amsterdam, is to check regularly updated information from official sources. Such as the website of the Dutch government. A lot of information can be found on the website about the current Covid measures. There are also useful links to, for example, FAQs. Keeping up to date with the latest information regarding the virus's measures will help you move around town as wisely as possible.

Can I travel to Amsterdam in 2021?

At the time of writing this blog, it is March 2021. The Netherlands is still in lockdown, there is a curfew, all non-essential travel traffic is discouraged and the shops, museums, attractions and restaurants are still closed since September 2020 . Yet I occasionally see a lost tourist walking around in the city. I also often receive messages on social media from people who would still like to plan a trip to Amsterdam and wonder whether this is possible. If you are planning to travel to Amsterdam, you can read all about holidaying in the Netherlands around this period here.

As I wrote in my introduction, in this blog I would pay attention to useful websites to keep an eye on during your trip to Amsterdam. Another website is the IAMsterdam website. On this website you can find information about what to do in Amsterdam and possibly buy tickets for attractions or museums. On this website you can also find the latest updates regarding Covid measures.

Finally, I would like to warn you again that the rules regarding the Covid-19 measures are constantly changing. I therefore recommend that you to take this into account when planning your trip to Amsterdam and also look for the latest updates regarding the measures just before departure. Each country has different measures. So keep this in mind when you travel through different countries. For example, if you come to Amsterdam by train, it is best to keep a close eye on this website. Also, do not forget to check the rules within your own country currently are for traveling to the Netherlands.

I hope that by writing this blog I have been able to provide more insight into useful websites to visit prior to your visit to Amsterdam. I also sincerely hope that I can welcome you again soon with open arms in our hotel and that you can enjoy our beautiful city!
